Legislative Bulletin: House Ways and Means FY2020 Budget

MASC Legislative Bulletin

The House Committee on Ways and Means earlier this week released their FY20 proposed budget. The proposed House budget raises the Chapter 70 allocation by nearly $18M, changes the charter tuition reimbursement formula and distribution, as well as raising Unrestricted General Government Aid by almost $30M.

Board of Selectman of Wayland (SJC- 12353) case, in which the Town AdministratorÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Evaluation by Selectmen that followed the longstanding practice was found by the Supreme Judicial Court to violate the Open Meeting Law. The decision must be adhered to by School Committees when evaluating the Superintendent.
